Moving to Florida in 2009, Maria searched for a job with purpose, that she could grow and learn from. Having been in the fitness industry for years, managed several businesses in her lifetime, raised two boys as a single mom in the state of Oregon, she was ready for new challenges and adventures.

Being raised on a farm with horses, cows, pigs, and every kind of critter imaginable, she decided to go back to her roots and her love of animals and entered the pet grooming and wellness business. Working for a local company she got her start here in Fort Myers in 2010. When the business closed in 2012, Maria took the few clients she had and moved to a small garage, opening her own grooming “shop” and TenderCare was born.

Over the years, through Maria’s vision of wellness and comfort for both her employees and her clients, TenderCare has grown into one of the largest and most premier grooming salons in Florida.
